Convert string to rtf vb net

When debugging through the code, i never get the error. It's like the application runs through the code too fast (i know this might sound weird). I have googled the error regarding the clipboard, and it seems that you might need to have the application wait for x amount of time. So i implemented a thread sleep so that it waits for 5 seconds which seems to be working but I still get the same errors.

1) Type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Word.Application' is not defined

2) Office is not a member of Microsoft

'Also remove multiple  characters that somehow end up in there

'…and you're done.
